The high technology used for Optikon HiScan A/B and UBM ecographer allows outstanding performances in the diagnosis and measurement of anterior and posterior segments,
through extremely detailed images.
HiScan is a PC-based system, providing full featured software and equipped with a complete range of
probes.
HiScan “basic” is enabled for ecographies at 12 and 20 MHz; upon request, it can be upgraded for ecographies at higher frequencies
(25, 35 and 50
MHz).
HiScan “full” is enabled for ecographies at
12, 20, 25, 35 and 50 MHz.
Both models perform contact and immersion biometries and diagnostic A-Scan. The acquired images and the results of patients examinations are stored in a specially designed database, Access™
compatible.
HiScan is the only ecographer with a built-in system for 3D reconstruction of anterior and posterior
segment.
The kinetic B-scan mode displays movements like accommodation of the ciliary muscles and lens or IOL shifting. The high gain mode enables analysis of vitreal heterogeneity and the corpuscles.
Diagnostic A-Scan is provided through 8 MHz probe. The diagnostic A-Scan probe is unfocused with "S" shaped amplification curve to measure and diagnose injuries.
Biometric A-Scan is provided through 10 MHz biometry probe. The biometry probe can be hand-held, mounted on a tonometer or provided with accessories for immersion. The software ensures differential measurements for pseudophakic eyes in relation to various lenses.
Automatic acceptance standards (Heuristic) for measurements
ensure safety. HiScan includes the most updated IOL formulae for accurate calculation of highly myopic
eyes.
