Assistant is equipped with a Venturi/Peristaltic pump system to fit any surgical technique and any surgeon preference. The user can switch in full flight between the two pumps during the same procedure without need of releasing the foot pedal or changing the I/A tubing set. 

 EasySys I/A Venturi/Peristaltic cassette has an ergonomic design with no tubes and no valves; it can be inserted through one-hand even by sterile personnel. Thanks to its very small internal volume, it ensures incredibly fast venturi pump.

 Along with Continuous, Pulsed, Single Burst, Multi Burst and Continuous Burst, Assistant Optikon provides Programmable Emission Mode (P.E.M.). This special U/S mode is different from all available software, because it is the only one allowing the surgeons to set any U/S parameters according to his/her ideal way of phaco power emission.

 Pneumatic guillotine cutters (20G, 23G and 25G), Hyperspeed vitrectomy up to 4000 cuts/min and Asymmetrical Cutting Cycle (ACC) prevent vitreous body traction ensuring constant high aspiration at any speeds. 

 New double Xenon light source based on 5100°K High Efficiency HID lamp provides maximum light intensity and extended life span (50 times longer than standard halogen lamp) . Through dedicate beam splitter, user can connect up to 4 illuminating instruments simultaneously.

 The patented and unique phaco driver minimizes ultrasonic energy delivered to the eye.

 Double infusion is ensured thorugh forced system (patented) and built-in programmable I/V pole.

 Foot pedal is double linear and programmable via software. Two functions can be simultaneously controlled in linear mode (i.e. U/S and aspiration, cutting and aspiration etc.)
